WHO AM I

My name is Marcela, I live in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and for some years now, with the help of friends, we have helped people of humble origin to have access to study and, thus, the opportunity for a professional life and to be able to support the your family with dignity.

Brazil is a developing country with a lot of social inequality. Despite being the 8th largest economy in the world 92% of all the wealth in the country is in the hands of only 1% of the population, where a large part lives in total misery, living in places without basic sanitation, potable water, access to dignified resience, balanced food (despite Brazil being the largest food producer in the world) and education.

From a young age I became aware of how privileged I was in the midst of so many underprivileged people, so I made the decision to help those who needed it most. Initially providing basic goods such as food and clothing, but as I reached maturity I realized that these people needed, in fact, to survive through their own ways and the most effective way of giving dignity to a human being and giving him the possibility to educate themselves, open their horizons of knowledge and, may she, achieve her own survival and that of her family on her own merits. Education is undoubtedly this form of help.
So, for 7 years now, with the help of friends and voluntary donors, we have provided scholarships, with the aid of teaching materials, help with locomotion and even food for 5 low-income people living in poverty extreme.
We are proud that we have already helped to train 5 professionals, from different areas, such as accountants, civil engineers and pharmacists who manage to provide for themselves and their families, being able to give them a dignified and honest life.
Unfortunately in this year of 2020, given the economic situation caused by the coronavirus, many of our friends and collaborators were unable to continue with their donations, which compromises the study of our beneficiaries, whose educational institutions, like other Brazilian institutions, gave continuity of the school year through online platforms.
Without this help, our assistants will not complete the school year and will also have the commitment to continue their studies. In this way we are looking for ways to continue helping our beneficiaries. Each has contributed with what they can. I am currently making available my digital scrapbook kits and, whoever wants and can, download them and help us with as much as possible so that we can direct the money to those who need it. Currently the dollar is worth 5 times the real, the Brazilian money, so any amount helps and can transform the lives of poor Brazilian families.
